LAWSAN Convention: Nigerian Students Hold First Maiden Convention

Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) is set to hold her Maiden National Convention in Nigeria tagged ‘Knitting The Wig,’ at Benue State University, Makurdi.

The association comprises of all Faculties of Law in Nigerian Universities and foster peace and harmony amongst Law students in the country.

The date for the convention is from Wednesday, 30th November – Saturday, 3rd December, 2016.

The plans for the convention came after a committee meeting held at Benue State University earlier this month.

LAWSAN Convention 2016 is the grand finale of the moves for setting up a National body for Law students.

The convention would be a remarkable one as every decision and plans of setting up the body would be cemented therein.

The National executive body, State representatives and objectives of the association will be key events during the convention.

There will be opportunity for students from different Universities across Nigeria to compete with each intellectually in the convention. This will achieved through Inter-University Debate, Public Speaking, Moot and Mock Competition.

Other activities proposed to feature in LAWSAN Convention include; Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and other track and field event.

There will also be Crown (Pageant) Contest with the title “Duke & Duchess”, social night, picnic and cultural day.

Delegate fee: N3,000 per person.

Date: Wednesday, 30th Novenber – 3rd December, 2016.

Venue: Benue State University, Makurdi.
